There’s a big distinction between benefit auctions and commercial or estate auctions. Commercial auctions are all about speed. Time is money.

Benefit auctions are about 2 things – Entertainment and Building Support. A Certified Benefit Auctioneer Specialist (BAS), knows the ins and outs of converting fundraising guests into organizational supporters. We are the first auctioneers in Colorado to earn the coveted BAS designation, and we have years of experience in creating profitable, entertaining, and memorable benefit events.

We not only have certified Benefit Auctioneers, but we have experienced and trained bid-spotters, with skills uniquely suited for benefit auctions. Shannon is the President & CEO of Schur Success Benefit Auctions and Ray Fenter & Associates, Inc., an auction business founded by her father in Arvada, Colorado.  She and Rich are the first Auctioneers in Colorado to earn the Benefit Auctioneer Specialist (BAS) designation, and among the first in the nation to do so.

Shannon is an active member of the Colorado Auctioneers Association, and served as President in 2002. In January 2004, Shannon became the first female finalist in the history of the State Bid Calling Championship Contest.

As a member of the NAA, Shannon served on the St. Jude’s Fundraising committee in 2008, the Technology Committee from 2001-2003 and has served on the Public Relations Committee as well as.

Rich Schur is a graduate of the Worldwide College of Auctioneering, and is a certified bi-lingual auctioneer (Spanish). He and Shannon are the first two auctioneers in Colorado certified as Benefit Auctioneer Specialists (BAS). Rich has a passion for Charity Auctions, and enjoys getting people to "give a little more". His enthusiasm adds an incredible level of energy to events.

Neil Enslow is a graduate of the World Wide College of Auctioneering and is a certified bi-lingual auctioneer (Spanish).  He is a skilled ringman (bid-spotter), and generates tremendous energy when he works the crowd. In addition to serving clients on the night of the benefit auction, Neil and his wife Georgia work with our clients as auction advisors, helping them to create memorable, revenue-producing events. Although based in Southern Colorado, Neil and Georgia work as part of our team serving all of our clients. Neil is in the process of earning his CAI (Certified Auctioneer’s Institute) accreditation.
